General Rules for All Documents
- Have a valid Canadian driver’s license
- Have the appropriate automobile insurance coverage
- Be at least 18 years old
- Be able to work in Canada
- Have a clean, functioning vehicle
- Speak and read English
To get started as a courier with Trexity or to keep your account active, you’ll need to upload a few important documents. This guide explains exactly what’s required for your profile photo, work eligibility, vehicle photo, and more.
Follow the steps below to make sure your documents are approved quickly. If your submission doesn’t meet our standards, it will be rejected, and you’ll need to upload a new version.
Make sure every document you upload follows these basic rules:
- Documents must include your first and last name
- All four corners of the document must be visible—no cropping.
- The document must be clear and easy to read—no blur, glare, or shadows.
- Always upload a photo of the original document—not a screenshot or a photo of a photo.
- The document must be issued by a Canadian Federal or Provincial government.
- It must be current and valid (not expired).
- You must be at least 18 years old (or 19+ if you plan to deliver alcohol).
Profile Photo: Your profile photo is shown to business partners and customers, so it must:
- Be forward-facing and centered.
- Clearly show your full face, shoulders, and the top of your head.
- Be taken without accessories that cover your face—no hats, toques, or sunglasses.
- Include only you in the frame—no group photos or other people in the background.
Proof of Work Eligibility: To show that you're legally eligible to work in Canada, please upload one of the following:
- Canadian Passport
- Canadian Birth Certificate
- Canadian Citizenship Card/Document
- Permanent Resident (PR) Card
- Valid Canadian Study Permit
- Valid Canadian Work Permit
Driver’s licence: You must have a valid Canadian driver’s licence with no learner or provisional restrictions.
Each province has different licence classes, but in general:
- Your licence must allow you to drive independently without supervisionLearner or beginner licences (like G1, 5L, 7L, etc.) are not accepted
Insurance Requirements: All couriers must upload valid commercial delivery insurance and have the following information:
- Your full name (as the insured or listed driver)
- Expiry date of the policy
- Vehicle make, model, and VIN (Vehicle Identification Number)
If you're listed as a secondary or occasional driver, you must also upload supporting documents to show you’re allowed to use the vehicle for deliveries.
Vehicle Photo: Please upload a clear photo of the back of your vehicle that includes
- The entire vehicle—fully in frame, not cropped.
- A visible license plate.
