When delivering to an apartment/condo building:
If a buzzer code and unit number are provided, couriers will use the buzzer code to access the building and deliver to the customer’s unit.
If the buzzer doesn’t work, couriers are required to call the customer. If there’s no response, the courier is instructed to leave the package in a safe spot near the buzzer (if outside), or inside, leave it at the main entrance or lobby (if accessible). If a concierge is available, the courier must attempt to leave the package with them unless stated otherwise.
If no buzzer code is provided, couriers must check the building directory for the customer’s name. If not listed, the courier must call the customer for a buzzer code. If there’s no response, the courier is instructed to leave the package in a safe spot near the buzzer (if outside), or inside, leave it at the main entrance or lobby (if accessible). If a concierge is available, the courier must attempt to leave the package with them, unless stated otherwise.
When delivering to a house:
Couriers are instructed to knock on the door or ring the doorbell upon arrival. If there’s no response, the courier may leave the order at the front door or porch area, ensuring it’s placed in a safe and secure area.
When delivering to a business/loading dock:
Couriers are required to deliver directly to the customer or the reception if the customer is unavailable.
If delivering after business hours, the courier will call the customer. If there’s no response, they will try to locate security, reception, or the mailroom. If none are accessible, the courier will leave the package in a safe location such as the lobby, main entrance, or mailroom if available.
