Trexity allows you to display delivery rates at checkout using FSA's (the first 3 digits of the postal code), so your customers see accurate pricing without requiring a full platform integration. This approach works across all e-commerce platforms that support checkout options such as (but not limited to) Shopify, WooCommerce, Squarespace, Wix, and more.
What Are Postal Code–Based Delivery Rates?
Postal code–based delivery rates let you apply Trexity pricing based on where your customer is located. When a customer enters their postal code at checkout, the corresponding Trexity delivery rate is applied automatically.
This method gives you:
- An easy setup that works across multiple platforms
- Full control over how rates are displayed
- Consistent delivery pricing at checkout
Step 1: View Your Trexity Postal Code Zones
Start by reviewing the postal codes and rates associated with your business' pickup location.
- Log in to your Trexity Merchant Portal
- Visit https://merchant.trexity.com/local-zones
- Review the list of zones, prices, and corresponding FSAs
These FSAs and prices are what you will use when configuring delivery rules on your website.
Note: If you have multiple pickup locations, each location will have its own unique set of FSAs. Be sure you are viewing the correct location before copying.
Step 2: Create a Shipping Zone within your E-Commerce Platform
Most eCommerce platforms allow you to create custom delivery or shipping zones using conditions such as:
- Postal code
- Distance (KM)
- Drawn zones or regions
To use Trexity pricing, select the postal code option and match the FSAs provided in your Trexity zone list.
General setup process:
While the exact steps vary by platform, the setup flow is typically:
- Go to your platform’s Shipping or Local Delivery settings
- Create a new delivery or shipping rate
- Set the condition to Postal Code
- Paste the FSAs from your Trexity zone
- Assign the matching Trexity delivery price
- Save and repeat for each zone as needed
Tip: You can set delivery rates higher than Trexity’s pricing if you’d like to turn delivery into a profit center.
Step 3: Test your customer-facing checkout experience
Before going live, test your customer-facing checkout to ensure everything works correctly.
- Enter postal codes from different FSAs
- Confirm the correct delivery rate appears at checkout
- Verify rates change when the postal code changes
Testing ensures your customers see accurate pricing and avoids checkout issues.
