What is the Batch Service Level?
- Batch allows multiple orders that are ready at the same time to be grouped into a single pickup and delivered in sequence by one courier.
- This service is designed to improve efficiency and reduce costs when handling multiple deliveries from the same location.
How Batch Delivery Works
- Multiple orders from one location are prepared at the same time
- A single courier is assigned to collect all orders
- Deliveries are completed in sequence (multi-stop route)
- Standard SLA remains 4 hours from pickup
- Can be reduced to 2 hours via CST (Customer Support Team), if applicable.
When to Use Batch Delivery
- Batch is recommended in the following scenarios:
- Large number of orders being fulfilled at once
- Multiple deliveries ready for pickup at the same time
- Deliveries outside Same Day / Next Day zones
- Best practice:
- Consolidate these orders to 1–2 days per week
- Batch them together to optimize costs and efficiency
Zone Handling
If a Delivery Falls Outside the Zone
- The system will:
- Automatically recommend the most appropriate service level
- Display updated pricing and delivery options before confirmation
Performance & Efficiency
- Routing enhancements have improved Batch performance:
- 20% faster overall delivery times
- ~37 minutes saved per delivery
- Average completion time: 3 hours 56 minutes
