Couriers must successfully complete an approved alcohol certification program prior to being eligible for alcohol delivery opportunities.
Obtaining an Alcohol Certificate
Smart Serve Account:
- Navigate to: https://smartserve.ca/#
- Select one of the following:
- Login Here (if you already have an account)
- Register Now (if you are a new user)
- When registering:
- Select Individual Account
- Enter all required personal details
- Click Register to create your account
- Once logged in, register for the Smart Serve Full Course: https://smartserve.ca/full-course/
Complete Training Requirements
- Course duration is approximately 4 hours
- Must be completed within 30 days
- Minimum passing score is 80% or higher
- Upon successful completion, you will receive a digital certificate
- Upload your Smart Serve certificate to the Trexity Driver App as required.
Alberta — ProServe Certification:
- Navigate to https://aglc.ca/aglc-lms/registration
- Select one of the following:
- Sign In (existing users)
- Create Account (new users)
- When creating an account, complete all required fields:
- First and last name
- Date of birth
- Email address
- Mailing address
- Phone number
- Click Submit to finalize account creation.
- Once created, log in to your account and
- Log in to your account and register for the ProServe Training https://aglc.ca/training/proserve-liquor-staff-training.
Complete Training Requirements
- Course access is valid for 30 days from the date and time of registration. You may log in and out as needed within this period.
- After 30 days, access expires and the course must be repurchased.
- A minimum score of 80% is required to pass.
- You are allowed five (5) attempts per registration.
- Upon successful completion, a digital certificate will be issued.
- Upload your ProServe certificate to the Trexity Driver App as required.
British Columbia — Serving It Right
- Navigate to https://www.responsibleservicebc.gov.bc.ca/serving-it-right-course.
- Select one of the following:
- Sign In (existing users)
- Create Account (new users)

Complete Training Requirements
- Course duration is approximately 4 hours
- A minimum score of 80% is required to pass the final exam
- Each purchase includes three (3) exam attempts
- If unsuccessful after three attempts, the exam can be retaken for a $35 fee.
- Upon passing, you will:
- Receive your SIR certificate number immediately
- Have the option to download and print your certificate at any time
- Upload your certification to the Trexity Driver App as required
